linux-m68k@lists.linux-m68k.org
History
The agreed-upon death of the old Linux-680x0 list at
vger.rutgers.edu in late 1995 brought about the renaming of
the Atarix list at phil.uni-sb.de to linux-m68k. Now that Linux/m68k
has its own domain, the preferred address is
lists.linux-m68k.org, but it is still hosted at
Saarbrucken.
Policy
Please note that general user questions are more appropriate for the
newsgroups. The linux-m68k mailing list
is intended for kernel and system development.
Any questions about this mailing list can be directed to Benni Lorenz,
linux-m68k-owner@lists.linux-m68k.org.
- To subscribe: send electronic mail to linux-m68k-request@lists.linux-m68k.org with the line
"subscribe linux-m68k" in the message body. [Warning:
traffic is often as high as 50 messages per day.]
- To subscribe to a daily summary of the traffic of the mailing list
(a largeish mail containing all the individual messages of the day, in
the standard digest format): send electronic mail to linux-m68k-digest-request@lists.linux-m68k.org with the line
"subscribe linux-m68k-digest" in the message body.
- To send a message to everyone on the list: send electronic mail to
linux-m68k@lists.linux-m68k.org.
- Archives of the linux-m68k list and the previous list at linux-680x0@vger.rutgers.edu are available courtesy of Julian
Coleman's Atari server at the University of
Newcastle. [United Kingdom]
- You can also download some old daily message digests from ftp.phil.uni-sb.de. [Germany]
- You can access the list (and several other Linux-related lists)
from the news server on sunsite.auc.dk as sunsite.linux.m68k
(Posting is allowed). If your browser manufacturer can't read RFC's
(i.e. its name rhymes with Microsoft or Netscape), this link may work
instead.
linux-apus@sunsite.auc.dk
This mailing list discusses the port of Linux to the PPC-based Amigas
(APUS stands for Amiga PowerUp Systems). More information on this
port is available in
the APUS FAQ.
- To subscribe: send electronic mail to linux-apus-subscribe@sunsite.auc.dk; no message subject or body
is necessary.
- To send a message to everyone on the list: send electronic mail to

- The list archives are maintained by the list management software;
you can get help on how to access the archives by sending email to linux-apus-help@sunsite.auc.dk (no subject or body needed).
- You can access this list (and several other Linux-related lists)
from the news server on sunsite.auc.dk as sunsite.linux.apus
(Posting is allowed). If your browser manufacturer can't read RFC's
(i.e. its name rhymes with Microsoft or Netscape), this link may work
instead.
ml-linuxvme@vespa.unix-ag.uni-siegen.de
Note: This list is probably dead.
This list discusses the port of Linux/m68k to work on VMEbus
hardware. Some information on this port can be found at ftp://vespa.unix-ag.uni-siegen.de in the directory
/pub/linuxvme. Some other VMEbus material is archived at ftp://ftp.uni-erlangen.de. More recent material is available
from Richard Hirst and others.
General Linux lists
If you are interested in general (or i386) Linux development, I
recommend the LinuxHQ mailing list
archives. Spot the posts from your favorite Linux/m68k developers
in linux-gcc and linux-kernel.
